What desktop gadget do you refer to? Why don't you just disable and delete the gadget? Is the gadget associated with a toolbar? If so... what is the browser and toolbar... Why would you want to have a toolbar anyway?

 

Turbo mode isn't designed to overide your choices but to silently speed.
