RegEdit 'Export & Import'

I have found some software programs make changes and additions to the Registry

that do Not get changed back and removed when you Un-install the program.

So I do a Registry Export (save Registry file) before any Installs or system changes.

Using the Export/Import functions in 'regedit.exe'.

That way I can restore the registry, to what it was before the change.

You can also save the registry file to an external-drive for double-safety

Doing those Exports can save alot of work!

To me, using RegEdit is better than trying to use some 3rd-party software.

Note - Export & Import are in the 'File' pull-down menu of regedit

I found out that you only need to Run the exported .reg file, to restore the Registry.

(by clicking on it in File-manager)

You are Not required to Import it, from within regedit.exe.

This is handy, if for some reason you can not run regedit.exe.
