spyware blocking

the ASW3 blocking spware option does the program have to be on or running in the tray bottom right screen to be "effective" or does it come on automatically with your browser if your running ASW3 or not.

 

got asked this and it had me thinking.

Hi sunnystains,

AWC or ASC does not need to be running for Spyware defense to work.They remain blocked until you un-block them.

wow another spammer -_- and the answer is no. nothing that blocks spyware needs to be on (immunization) because i think it makes the changes to your registry. examples of these programs are spybot SD, Spyware blaster etc

thanks I knew spybot & spywareblaster worked that way but was not sure on ASC.
