Open Window Color and Appearance by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box at the top right corner of the screen, type window color, and then click Change window glass colors.

Click the color you want, and then click Save changes.

Window colors that are available with Aero

Also you can click the start button, and type in the little explorer box, change windows glass color, and hit the enter key.

Start Menu 8 color bug

Dear all,

I would first like to congratulate you on this great tool. Exactly what I was looking for. To be honest, I hate the new Win8 tile system and am happy I could find a solution to my problem.

I have attached a screenshot of my color problem, hope that can help you guys perfect it and help me find a solution in the process.

Thank you in advance

Hi Vens,

Did you check the checkbox of "Program background color changes with system theme change." under Background color: in User Interface section of Settings?

After checking that, when you click on the blue colored small square, Color and Appearance window opens.

Choose which color you want Start Menu 8's right menu to be and Save Changes!

Please see the attached image.
