I don't have ASC anymore but I keep on getting this message at odd times:-

"Windows cannot find this file ...

C:\PROGRAM FILES\IOBIT\ADVANCED SYSTEMCARE 4\ASCTRAY.EXE

Make sure you have spelled it correctly..."

Any ideas on how to stop this please?

I would use regedit.exe to remove that command from the Registry,

but if you are not familiar with Regedit, I do not recommend doing that.

Since you can really mess-up the OS, if you make a mistake.

Regedit.exe has a search function and you would need to remove everything related to ASC-4.

(Regedit.exe comes with all versions of Windows and needs to be run with Admin privileges)

Hi rosso,

Please kindly follow the instructions below to solve the issue:

1. Press the hotkey “Win+ R“ and enter “regedit” in the box, click OK.

2. Click “Edit” on the top left of the Registry Editor window and select “Find”.

3. Put “C:\PROGRAM FILES\IOBIT\ADVANCED SYSTEMCARE 4\ASCTRAY.EXE” in “Find What” box and click “Find Next”.

4. Detele the result you find out.

Thanks for supporting IObit. Let us know if there is any other inquiry.

Disabling Advanced SystemCare Notifications

1. Right click on the ASC icon in the system tray and choose Open Advanced SystemCare

2. Click on menu and choose Settings, select Notifications and uncheck all or desired ones, and click Apply, done.

Hope this will help

Best Regards
