Ultimate optimization

Thanks Scannan, yes I have the Pro version, but on looking around the application if I click on System Optimization then on the gear wheel to the right it correctly shows my preferences but under Quick settings it still shows basic, I assume this section is purely there to set your preference and sets it in the care interface.

Hope my assumption is correct.

Sorry, but I am a little confused as to your description.

If you select system optimisation in the care menu and then click on the gearwheel to the right, it will take you to the system optimisation setting in the main settings menu.

If you click on Quick Settings it takes you to the quick settings interface which does not even have a system optimisation option, so I do not understand where you are seeing that your system is set to basic.

If you could send a screenshot, it may help.

Hi Scannon,Sorry I cannot post a screen shot the insert image only gives a URL image. My screen shots I've put on my desktop.

If You click Quick settings then click Ultimate optimization you get a pull down which offers you five settings for computer optimization

And six settings for Network optimization these are the settings that aways go back to basic. However, come back to the Scan interface and on the right of System Optimization there is a cog wheel if you click on that your settings are correctly shown.

Hope you can follow that.

Ron.

You can upload your printscreen by using the Manage Attachments option in the section below your post.

I cannot find the Ultimate optimization you talk about in Quick Settings. I have looked at vatious versions of ASC 6 and it does not appear in any of them.

You have not filled in your system information in your User CP, so I cannot check which version you have.

I am beginning to suspect that you are in fact running ASC Ultimate 6.

Please verify which version you have.

Hi Scannan

The only function under Quick settings that have the word ultimate in it is Ultimate TuneUp - for some reason IObit has chosen to say Ultimate TuneUp in the Quick settings window and call it System optimization in the normal settings window - not especially clear.

Since BEDO said that there were 5 choices I think it must be the system optimization he is talking about. i.e. Dayly use etc.

Cheers

Yes Solbjerg

I agree fully with you. I presumed also that it was the System Optimisation settings which were in question. That is why this reference to being able to see the said settings in Quick Settings, is causing so much confusion.

We can only assist when we have all the facts.

I am going to go with the understanding that you are actually talking about Ultimate Tuneup in the Quick Settings.

It does not show you the Basic Setting you are talking about unless it is switched off, and you double click on it. It then give you the drop down menu which allows you to choose the settings which suit you...ie; Daily Home User etc...

The Default is Basic, and it shows that because Ultimate Tuneup is off. It assumes that you will then make your choice and switch it on.

The settings in the main settings page will always be whatever you set up there. Obviously, if you decide to change the settings in the Quick Settings, then this change will also be reflected in the Main Settings.

Sorry ro give you all this trouble. I have seached for the help tab to get the version from 'about' but cannot find it

I uploaded the two screen shots but I don't think it worked as I cannot see them on this post. I'm a failure!!!!

However, it would appear that providing my preferences show correctly in System Optimization all should be well.

I have updated my CP Profile with my O/S etc.

Thanks for your help.

Ron.

PS I see they are there so I'm not such a failure.

You are not giving trouble. We are glad to assist you if we can.

It just makes it easier when we have the correct information.

Your printscreens show that you have Ultimate Tuneup switched off. When this is switched off then the System Optimisation defaults to basic.

If you select Top Performance (daily user) and LAN in your System optimisation settings and then click Apply and then OK, this should automatically switch Ultimate Tuneup to On. If this does not happen then there is an issue.

Please check this and be sure to click Apply and OK.

Thanks Scannon.

I altered Network Optimization to 'Wireless' and then checked Ultimate Tune up and it was 'ON' so I think all should be well. Thank you.

Ron.

PS. Just found the version in settings it's v6.0.8.170
