Problem with processor

After I installed the software I have problems with the processor :(

I have a CPU I7 3770K He has four cores

After I installed the software I see only one core

First off, I am not sure what caused this problem

I have a 4 core CPU

I checked in the BIOS and that was fine.

I tried everything but I could only get 1 core to work.

I have a second drive with an older version on Windows 7 installed on it. I booted to that drive, all 4 cores working. Again, this proves the BIOS was fine.

I had to do a full OS reinstall which fixed it (ouch)????:(((((

Did you mean the CPU displayed in Task Manager?

Quad core problem

 

Hi Dennis,

quick fix for lost core CPU's, with error no drivers found, Icon as above .

 

Controlpanel>DeviceManager>processors>

right click >properties>updatedrivers> from recovery drive usually D.

(i think that D/installation disc are the only place to get them from.)
