large amount of reg errors

just tried ASC free ver on w8, was surprised it came up with 515 reg fixes, now the laptop is awaiting exchange so i did not mind hitting fix all. only problems pdf's will no longer open in adobe reader latetest ver, and samsung software support will not work.

 

only had w8, drivers, norton security installed, not sure how it got a 515 hit.

Please kindly follow the instructions below to solve your problem:

 

1) Open Advanced SystemCare.

 

2) Click the "Rescue" icon on the top right of the main interface.

 

3) Choose one restore point under "Rescue registry related changes" (note: please select it according to the date, you should select a point which is right before the problem happened).

 

4) Click "Undo Changes" button.

 

5) Reboot your computer and see how it works.

 

If the problem has been solved, please kindly follow the steps below to find the backups and logs:

 

Double click My Computer. -> Put "%appdata%\IObit\ Advanced SystemCare V6" in the address bar and press "Enter" key.

-> Find the relative Logs and Backup file and zip them. -> Send the zipped file to us for further check.

thanks for your reply, not worried about the fix i would normal pick and and choose which reg entries to fix, this was more curiosity i was just testing ASC on w8, with next to no software loaded, but nearly fell off the chair with 515 reg hits was expecting maybe a score or so, anyone had a higher count on the reg fix.

 

since my post noticed the performace score has increased for the hdd and graphics.

 

but to bear in mind this laptop has unknown hardware faults double bleeps error warningsfrom m/b

 

when i get a replacement will be running again but will carefully check for adobe and samsung reg entries.

Hi sunny,

 

If you follow Cicely's advice, it will help IObit to correct if there is a mistake in the registry fix section of ASC concerning Windows 8. Therefore other users will not have the same problem in the future.

 

If you like the new state of your laptop, you can deep clean/fix it again anyway. :grin:

yes i had noted those points, new laptop if ok this time [fingers crossed] will install ASC, SD, SM8.
