Startup Manager - parameter/arguments for added programs

Wolfpatch

Recommended Posts

I want to use Startup Manage to load a program on delay. The problem I am having is I need to pass the program a parameter/argument/switch... Can this be done through Startup Manage? Where does Startup Manage store the programs that are added directly through Startup Manage; registry, configuration file? If it is one of these, I might to be able to alter it directly.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Wolfpatch,

this a standard MS option follow the detils below,

ControlPanel>AdminTools>Services.

Scroll to then highlight the program you want to delay,

righclick then properties, see screenshot see highlighted \/ select

Auto delay is 1 of the options.

and away you go

You can do that using the 'Startup-manager' in Iobit's ASC Toolbox, also.

And I think it is easyer to do in ASC's manager, since I have a shortcut-icon for it.

But I do not know where the settings-data is stored, but my Guess is in the Registry.

Hi Wolfpatch,

Thank you for your feedback.

As Toppack said, it is easier to delay a program by Startup Manager.

Besides, please add the parameter for a program as follows:

1. Add the program to Startup Manager, if it is not here.

2. Right click the program in Startup Manager and then you can get a window. Please check the attachment to see the window.

3. Click "Open in RegEdit", then you can add parameter in registry.

For this question " Where does Startup Manage store the programs that are added directly through Startup Manager", it is in the Registry as Toppack's opinion.

Thanks for supporting IObit.
