Set ASC 6 not to delete history, did it anyway. [SOLVED]

Hi,

I turned AutoClean off but today I opened the laptop to find all my tabs and browser history gone. I left the laptop open yesterday and for some reason it was still open when I came back hours later. I have AutoCare enabled, so I was wondering if it was the Privacy Sweep? I'd really like to get my tabs back but I mostly want to prevent this from happening again.

Hi Maeva, welcome to IObit Forum! :-D

If you use AutoClean, ASC will run the following processes:

Malware Removal

Registry Fix

Shortcuts Fix

Privacy Sweep

Junk Files Clean

You have to untick Privacy Sweep checkbox under Action in AutoCare section of Automatic Service in Settings window to stop sweeping privacy.

You can go to Settings window by clicking on the figure http://forums.iobit.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=11850&stc=1&d=1371234940 on top right of Main GUI of ASC Pro and then clicking on "Settings..." on the menu.

Cheers.

Hi and thanks for replying and welcoming me!

The thing is, I want to make sure it won't delete my tabs and maybe history. If I uncheck session and browser history under both Automatic Service/AutoClean and Care/Privacy Sweep will that be enough? Should I also uncheck Privacy Sweep under Automatic Service/AutoCare?

I unchecked all of those and then I fell asleep with the laptop in my arms while watching a movie. :P The tabs and history are still there, so I guess the problem has been solved! Thanks a lot!
