False Positives detected on Microsoft Tools -nlparse.exe

Recommended Posts

Trojan.Dropper, FILE, C:\Users\bonnett\Desktop\ALTools\nlparse.exe, 4021152

I have compared this with the file that is on the TechNet site and do not find any version information that would suggest that this is a Malware.

The NLParse.exe tool is used to parse Netlogon log files for specific Netlogon return status codes.

The version that is being detected is the same one that is still used by Microsoft distribution of the account lockout tools.

Welcome to the forum

Probably false positive, but please follow the procedure for IObit to further investigate it.

• Upload nlparse.exe to VirusTotal and supply the report link in your next post

• Also, ZIP nlparse.exe and upload it to Wikisend and supply the link in your next post

You can use THIS post as an example.

All the best, woz of oz
