W8 and AV's

Hi James,

Yes to your question.

PLEASE NOTE,

If you install >>> ANY AV <<< on a W8 computer

Windows Defender is automatically turned OFF, its an AV/antimalware combined

so you need an AntiMalware programme.

Hi JamesJ,

Thanks for your question.

Actually, IObit Malware Fighter is an anti-malware software not anti-virus software. Thus, it can be compatible with Windows Defender and you can run IMF at Windows startup. Besides, it is suggested to run IObit Malware Fighter at Windows startup to protect your PC against malwares.

For any other confusions, please feel free to tell us. Cheers.

I will not touch this program with a 20-ft pole.

It doesnt detect anything and will not protect your computer.

It is useless and iobit should hang their sorry heads in shame.:evil:

And I quote,Mark...(from one of your links)

"Did you ever do anything wrong in your life, something you may regret, especially thing's you did when you were younger?

I stole a pack of gum and a few magazines when I was younger, does this still make me a bad person to this day, even though I am much, much older and smarter now?

Absolutely not, I'm a good person now and would never do anything like that ever again, it's called making mistakes and learning from them.

This happened in 2009

Plenty of time for IObit to rethink their strategies, learn from their mistakes and move on.

If they haven't done anything bad again and have changed for the better, then let them remake themselves, after all, IObit's business model is way different than what it was in 2009.

In my opinion, This is an old exhausting topic that need's to be laid to rest."

THE Admin for IObit made a statement on this, you might want to search for it.IObit's Malware fighter is among the best out there.

I'm sorry, but you ere badly from giving just a few links that refer to events that happened a long time ago...

Please do some more balanced research on this topic! :-)
