Hi U_DONT_NEED_TO_KNOW,

Is there any error messages? Please send us the related screenshots of "the file didnt work" so that we can check it.

Thanks in advance.

it doesnt give me an error message or anything, when the file is done runnining it just turns off

Hi U_DONT_NEED_TO_KNOW,

That means the file has run already. Please reboot your computer to see whether the metro apps issue continues.

This problem appears to still exist. I have advanced systemcare v8.1.0.652. After running the scan tool and restarting my PC, every metro app stopped working. I could not enter the store to reinstall nor could I go to the settings from the charms bar. I had to do a system restore to finally fix it. I ran a powershell command that fixed the problem with going to the store and was able to repair the apps but they stopped working again after another reboot. So I have not run the scan tool again because I don't want it to break my metro apps. This was all done on a brand new PC after running all of the Windows 8.1 updates.

Hi mglaze,

Here we provided two methods for you to try:

Method 1:
