Kill Yahoo

We need to have something that will remove the word Yahoo from the Registry and our entire computer.

And block anything with the word Yahoo from being placed on our computer.

Yahoo is a terrible virus. I have spent over 100 hours trying to remove it.

Hi j_maybury,

Thanks for your feedback.

To look into the issue, please send us the related screenshots.

Guide for taking screenshot.

http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm

Besides, please download the tool from http://download.iobit.com/test/info-helper-v7.exe

Then double click to run this tool and click “Save report to Desktop”. You will get a zipped file IObit_Debug_Info.zip on your desktop. Please send it to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I did send off a bug report the same day as I wrote this with the auto bug report tool that is imbedded in to ASCU7, but I will do as you ask as soon as possible.

HI Dev3 and Scannan,

@ Dev3, you are so careful to find the flaw. :-D Now we have changed the sentence to " Please enter your license code and click "Register Now" to activate the subscription.".

@Scannan, your suggestion is good, but we have changed it. How do you think of it?

Thank you for solving the issue so quickly. However I am afraid that the change you have implemented is not corrrect. Users of Iobit products purchase a Licence, which allows them to use the features of the product. They do not make a subscription. A subscription is a different thing. It means the action of making or agreeing to make an advance payment in order to receive or participate in something or as a donation. This is normally applied to a fee paid by a member of a club/group...etc..

So I would suggest for both correctness and legality...that you should say...

" Please enter your license code and click "Register Now" to activate your Licence."

Its annoying when any activities in anywhere in your PC(such as the registry) are happening and always gotta clean up after such actions are done without the user permission especially when its uneccessary, dangerous or unknown. Already suggested an idea(relating to this) earlier to prevent such a problem, hope it would actually help in the next version >.>

Win 8.1 Pro. How about the facility to be able to move files/folders from one section to another but obviously not system files. eg: a game installs automatically in the Program Files but you want it in Games, another folder on the C. BUT, you know that if you move it, the registry entry will not alter itself.

I use folders an awful lot having several web sites and each site has its own folder and sub folders in my pc. I would like to move eg: my webs, out of Documents into its own main folder on C. But I know it will mess up the entries in html on the web pages. not too mention the registry.

win 8.1 OS auto shutdown problem

Here is a screenshot you asked for and I have the bug report as well.

It's for the problem of the win 8.1 OS auto shutdown while ASCU7 full scan is still running.

PS; I don't know how the attachments box works all I get is a blank space under the box, that dose nothing it won't drag and drop, it won't store an address, what do I do.

mean while I have sent you an auto bug report, the in program one.

Hi j_maybury,

After following Scannan's advice please take a note of the below note.

I think the error is sending the ASC report, and the reason may be the auto shut down of the PC.

Please make sure that the screenshot includes the last line in error report and also the screenshot of disasm tab of the error report will be useful.

Cheers.

EDIT: I haven't seen your last post when I have posted this post.

IObit should deal with the report now.

Win 8.1 shut down problem.

I have noticed that if you leave an internet reader on like IE or Firefox, win 8.1 will not auto shutdown, and this could be used as a work around, but I have still to find out if the ASCU7 auto shutdown will shutdown the internet reader.

I'll try it tonight!

You could look into the internet reader to find out how that stops win 8.1 from auto shutting the computer, and enable ASCU7 to do the same.

Trojan

On the internet was discovered a Trojan that is able to record passwords and bank details once installed in your computer, the name is Neverquest Trojan. Would be good that program have necessary updates of database to block and delete this trojan.

after that was OK'ed, this message came up...

I do have a lot of disk drives to get through it takes me two days to do a full disk scan.

Anyway here are the log files.

Dear j_maybury,

Thanks very much for your continuous effort and help in resolving this issue.

As this Demo is designed to look into the issue you reported, we didn't improve its scanning speed. It will take more time to finish the scan. Meanwhile, we find you have a lot of files, about more than 700,000,000 files, especiall on your I drive. We will keep improve the scanning speed in future versions.

For your situation, we recommend you always use the right-click scan option to scan the folders where you always put new files / folders into.

For computers with low configuration, it is also receommned to tick scan executable files only in the Settings. This will also speed up the scanning speed.

Thank you again.
