Driver Booster won't open

Hi luckyvic,

Thanks for the feedback.

Could you please take a related screenshot of this issue? And specify it with more details.

Thank you so much.

When I click on the icon, the program doesn't open/launch. So, a screenshot is not possible.

I've uninstalled and re-installed so many times now, I think I'm just to forget about it. Maybe in the future I will try it again, it worked fine before until I updated to new version.

I have this as well !

Something has killed DriverBooster, free version.

(Was it a rival product? Or just malware?)

DriverBooster.exe does not run.

Driver_Booster_FreeSoftwareDownloader.exe (in the freeware folder) does not run.

In fact, none of the IObit applications in the driverbooster (e.g. AutoUpdate.exe) folder will start.

ASC still works.

Have tried uninstall DriverBooster, re-install.

I click on the exe, it makes a feeble attempt (ticker on the cursor), then vanishes. Nothing in taskmgr to suggest it does anything.

I tried a command panel eg

> "C:\Program Files\IObit\Driver Booster\DriverBooster.exe"

Cursor comes back immediately, no sign of any running executable in task manager.

Its as if it's blacklisted.

Using admin account, not a parental control issue.

The folder does seem to be in a executable path, if I copy another executable in there, it will run.

Any suggestions to get it working?

There must be something that's preventing it from opening. What security software do you have installed? Additionally, can you disable it and see if it runs this time?

Booting to safe mode and launching the program will help isolate the issue too. Checking on Windows event viewer will how you some extra logs that would help pinpointing the issue. icon_smile.gif
