Please swap my Ultimate Reg Key back to V7

I've had just about enough of this ultimate version. I have no more patience with it. It continuously identifies errors that remain, even after "fixing". I've reinstalled more than once but still it doesn't work.

Please can I exchange my ultimate reg key for an ASC7 key. So at least I am getting a product that actually does what it says and what I paid for.

Hi linda134 ,

Thanks for your feedback.

Please describe the issue " It continuously identifies errors that remain, even after "fixing"." more clearly with related screenshots. Then we can look into and solve it.

Guide for taking screenshot.

After that, if you still want ASC, we can change the license code for you.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

No matter how many times I run the scan I have over 1600 registry errors. I have had to cut the screen down to just showing the result as it wont allow me to send you anything bigger than this. I have the registry report of all the errors in a plain txt file, but it wont allow me to send you that either. I run it under "SCAN" and under "Toolbox" with the same result. This is without Deep Scan enabled'

Today I uninstalled "ultimate" and installed ASC7 which, in the past, never gave me any problems, however, I ran the "scan" and got exactly the same results in ASC7 - 1600++ errors that wont delete.

The only thing that is recently different is that I now have windows 8. When ASC used to work it was always on windows 7. Does it not work with windows 8?

I look forward to a resolution.

Hi linda134,

To look into the issue.

Please take the steps below:

1) Please download the demo from https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/66599949/RegistryFix7.zip

2) Please install it and run to see whether the issue continues.

3)If the issue continues, please send us the produced files in the demo

4) Please also send us the file under C:\ProgramData\IObit\Advanced SystemCare V7\User_UndeleteReg.dat to help us look into the issue.

Thanks in advance.

Looking forward to your reply.

Files wont upload

Hi Cicely

I ran the test but the problem continued. When I tried to upload the results, the attachment from C:\ProgramData\IObit\Advanced SystemCare V7\User_UndeleteReg.dat was "too big" (248kb) and the registry fix data was "invalid file type", so I can't send you anything.

Is there another email address I can send these files?

Many thanks

Linda

Very upset at being advised to download what turned out to be malware

I sent all the files that you asked for to the support@iobit email.

I did not send them through WinRAR which enoskype suggested as when I downloaded this program it dumped several programs onto my computer, including the dreaded "mySearchDial" malware - which I am shocked that ASC didn't stop - my browser also got hijacked. Again, why ASC didn't stop this is shocking. I have consequently had to so a system restore to get rid of it as even the ASC uninstall didn't remove everything.

I am very disappointed that I was told to download this program, I trusted the advice and have just spent an hour repairing my system.

I have had ASC for years always trusted it and never had problems. I am afraid I no longer trust it and am at a point now where I am close to cancelling and requesting a refund as it is not doing what I am paying for and the tech advise I'm getting I certainly find questionable.

I certainly hope you can reassure me.

Linda

Hi linda134,

Have you sent the file that we asked as enoskype mentioned?

Thanks enoskype's timely reply.

Hi Linda134,

Please elaborate when you say sending the files through WinRAR.

Sorry to hear that you had problems, but there is no way that the link I have supplied to you to dump unwanted programs to your computer when downloading WinRAR, as it is direct download link from filehippo and I have been using it for years without any bloatware as you mention.

I have tried it just before I gave the link and just 2 minutes ago now and there is no such option to install for any programs that you have mentioned.

I suggest you open a thread in Spyware-Malware Removal Help! section following the procedure and have your PC checked by the malware expert as your PC could be compromised before and there is no way that ASC (Not ASCU) could clean virus type files from your PC as it is not an anti-virus or heavy anti-malware program.

For those functions, if you want to use IObit products (I don't think you want at the moment ), you have to use Advanced SystemCare Ultimate and IObit Malware Fighter PRO. (OR, any equivalent software from other producers.)

I don't know if you are using any security software, as i can't see any in your Public Profile, I suggest you to use third party 1 antivirus and 1 antimalware programs. (The default security software in Windows 8 may not be enough if you already have malware in your system.)

Cheers.

I actually have ASCU, I guess I just call it ASC out of habit. I thought ASCU has malware and virus protection, I cancelled my other anti virus program when I got ASCU. So no, I don't have any other virus or utilities programs at the moment.

I sent the files showing the 1626 registry errors that keep returning and just wont clean to the support address, any luck with them?

Thanks Linda

ASCU7 - Registry errors

Hi

I was just wondering if you've had any luck with the files I sent over as I haven't heard anything for a while?

I still have the 1626 registry errors appearing, even when I've just cleaned them.

ASCU virus protection is working fine, the Malware showed no errors or problems.... The only problem is these registry errors.

As new as this computer is I forgot to mention before but I also did a clean reinsall at the beginning of this fiasco so I'm convinced there's no junk hanging about.

I just want ASCU to work properly and do what it's supposed to - clean my system, including the registry. Right now I feel I've paid for a product that isn't working. I REALLY don't want to go to another virus/utilities program, but I must have one that works, (I work from home so its important) please help me.

Thanks

Linda

Hi Linda

It is very disappointing to hear that you have not received assistance from Iobit with this issue, particularly as you sent the requested files to Iobit on the 16th January 2013.

I know that Cicely, the Iobit liaison for the forum is on holidays until the 10th Feb 2014, but that should not prevent Iobit from helping you.

Please send a reminder to Iobit at support@iobit.com

and tell them the date of your previous request and ask them why you have not received assistance yet. You should reference this thread in your email, so they can see the history. I sincerely hope they act on this matter asap. Please let us know the outcome.

my thoughts

Hi Linda,

couple of questions,

comments first though,

i run W8.1 and ascu my maximum reg errors is 216 no big deal,

Because W8/8.1 is to new to muck around with.

i would like to know if you upgraded from 7 to 8 to 8.1,

mines a straight 8 to 8.1.

(because of MS i have 6 partitions!!!)

if you did do the upgrade through to 8.1 then in essence you have had 3 different OS's on your pc, and its entirely possible that most of these errors are from the 2 earlier OS's, and although ascu picks them up it cannot repair old system "errors".

could you snip a (1) page of these errors and upload them here and ill have a look at them.

Roy
