On boot up, the executable ASCservice.exe *32 runs automatically and according to the status monitor and task manager, uses 50% of available CPU resources along with a large chunk of memory. I have disabled all automatic functions and short of ending the process from the task manager, I cannot prevent the executable from loading every time I boot up the computer. Any suggestions out there?

You can change the setting for the asc service from auto to manual. This will stop it from loading every time you boot.

To do this you type..services.msc.. in Run. This will open the services window.

Thanks. That did it. You can also access services using control panel -> administrative tools -> services (local)
