HELP!!!! Cannot Unistall AWC V2

Hello

I upgraded to the new version of Advanced System Care Pro V 3.0. But now I am stuck with Advanced Windows Care V2 Pro on my computer. When I try to unistall the OLD program, I get this message:

 

Message file "C:\programfiles\iobit\advancedwindowscarev2pro\unins000.msg" is missing. Please correct this problem or obtain a new copy of the program.

 

I cannot re-install Verson 2 as I already upgarded to Version 3.

 

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hey boofonz-sounds like you had the old app. running when you went for the upgrade-first see if you can uninstall ASC from add/remove programs-make sure it's disabled!-next, perform a Win search, and delete any left-overs-don't forget to open your C:(if that's where you had it)and delete anything you find there-setup, etc-when all the traces are gone try a fresh install

try specialst free uninstal programs like ccleaner or revo from major geeks site.

 

if you still have problems I would remove all iobit then goto windows explorer and delete the iobit folder. then goto RUN and check the registry hives for left over iobit reg entries.

 

or run a free reg checker if not happy about regedit checks.

 

come back if these options fail.
