StartMenu8 doesn't find programs in Search (W8.1)

I needed to use Windows cmd.exe and went to StartMenu8 search to find it but it came out with the message below

 

. [ATTACH=CONFIG]n197828[/ATTACH]

 

At that point, I was worried something bad had happened to the system as I tried several times and went through a reboot etc. with the same result. However, via the Metro program search, it was found easily in its normal place as was the search via File Explorer as it's called now.

 

I've noticed this a couple of times so what is the problem?

 

Fyi, I updated to the latest version of StarMenu8 recently.
