Stuck in "IOBit Smart Defrag for Boot Time"

Hi, I do not know if someone can help me.

My Son's Windows 8.1 Laptop is Stuck in "IOBit Smart Defrag for Boot Time". When you switch on the Laptop it comes up straight away into "IOBit Smart Defrag for Boot Time". It asks if you want to exit (ESC) or Start the defrag (Y) or (Enter). Either way it will complete the defrag or not and then shows Exiting.......... Then after a few minutes it Blue Screens and reboots and starts again.

Any idea how to switch it off ?

Any Help much appreciated.

Hi all,

For the issue you have encountered, please restart your computer in safe mode according to guidance at http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm

Please find and zip all files under C:\windows\Minidump and send them to us.

Also, please download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/SD4InfoHelper.exe

Then double click to run this tool and click “Save report to Desktop”. You will get a zipped file IObit_Debug_Info.zip on your desktop, please send it to us so that we can get the detailed information to look into.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

@ Scannan, thanks for your attention on this issue. :)

Hi Cicely, hi Scannan,

If you can not open Windows, Safe mode can not be reached if you have the condition as explained below.

Use F8 or Shift + F8 (doesn't work when using UEFI BIOS & SSDs)

If you have modern PC with a UEFI BIOS and a fast SSD drive, there's no way you can interrupt the boot procedure with your keypresses. On older PCs, with a classic BIOS and no SSD drive, pressing these keys might still work though.

Please re-consider an option in ASC, as I explained before, including a function same as Boot UI Tuner 2.0.0.0

Cheers.

Hi enoskype,

Thanks. I will report your suggestion to our product team again for considering adding to ASC.
