Keyboard and Mouse No Longer Working

Hi

Used DBv2.3 on a ASUS homebuild PC, Win 7.32.

After a reboot neither the Keyboard nor Mouse work in the login Screen. They do work in the boot mode. I presume this is due to Driver changes. I have tried a USB Keyboard and a PS2 Keyboard and two different mice in a variety of usb Slots. So I cant login to Windows (including safe mode) to rollback the Drivers....

For some reason my Laptop thinks I am typing in German and is capitalizing the nouns... LOL sorry.

Thanks in advance

Hi SwissDanny

Welcome to the forum.

Your information is a little confusing.....you say that your keyboard works in boot mode but then you say that you cannot boot in safe mode....please clarify

So they work if press DEL to get to the boot settings, but dont work for the Windows login screen.

However, I used Windows CD to rollback. A rollback to pre DB update did not work. But in fact after the DB update, my ASUS AiCharger (to allow USB recharge of iPhones) no longer worked, so I upgraded that. I was able to rollback to prior to that, and everything worked again, except for AiCharger. So I assume there is some compatbility issue between the new drivers and this program.

@SwissDanny,

Could you please help us look into this issue with the following steps?

1. Run Driver Booster again and scan. This time please do not update the drivers in case that the same problem happens again.

2. Download http://www.cd4o.com/drivers/debug/DBInfoHelper.exe, >> double click to run this tool >> click “Save report to Desktop” >> find db_info_xxx_i.zip on your desktop >> send us the zip file to dbfeedback@iobit.com with your post link.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Danny, any updates on this for you yet? I don't think it's Driver Booster that's causing this since all other keyboards don't work as well but have you run the debug so far? 1.gif
