Drivers want to be installed over and over again

I just did a clean install of Win 8.1. Then I wanted to update the drivers, first with DB 2.4 and (after I got the same results as described hereafter) with DB 3.0 and in both cases it worked fine .. at first. I rebooted and saw that drivers were outdated. When I looked more closely I noticed that DB (both 2.4 and 3) wanted to update the same drivers. So, OK, I did it (again) and rebooted. Then again DB wanted to update the same drivers yet again.

What happens and how can I prevent DB from showing me the same (outdated???) drivers again and again?
