Do online stores just wait for you to do renewals or purchases before sending you e-mail discounts on what you just purchased? :)

I mean seriously, I just renewed my ASC 9 Ultimate subscription 2 days ago for 29.99 and today I get an e-mail saying I can renew it for 19.99. Sheesh I swear sites (as this is not the first to do it to me) just wait till I make a purchase of something to send me a sale discount. Lol.
