IObit Malware Fighter 5.1Pro blocks shutdown

I have two Windows XP machines with Malware Fighter 5.1 Pro on them and both have the same problem. When Malware Fighter is loaded I cannot shut down the machine.

If I exit Malware Fighter then either machine shuts down with no problem.

Can you please tell us more about it? do you get like some pop-up notification on the screen? or is your computer is locked out while it is turn on?

For locked outs it looks like there is an ongoing issue about Iobit malwre fighter 5.1 using windows xp

But my suggestion try to update your database and create a one full scan first.

It is as simple as I stated.

Malware Fighter starts at boot up. When I go to shut down my computer it freezes during the shut down.

If I exit Malware Fighter it then shuts down normally.

If I remove Malware Fighter from the startup list in msconfig, then after boot up I start up Malware Fighter it blocks shut down till I exit Malware Fighter.

No popup. And yes as long as Malware Fighter is on.
