I have heard a lot about Kelley's corner, and been there,but has any one tried http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ . This where I found how to fix my help and support on start menu. There is a ton of information there. It is very easy to understand, even for dummies like me I haven't heard any one mention it, so thought I would .I would like to hear your comments on this site.[garybear]PS I'M sure some one knows about it ,but haven't heard it mentioned on this forum,so thought I would.

How do you do that

 

This old country boy needs to know how you guys create these posts with the web sites added in them, that open when you click on them. Also how to you make a post with look[ here], that opens to a thread or web page. This is cool and I need to know how you do that, if its not to much trouble to explain to this old slow country boy. If you could explain in very simple terms, it would be greatly appreciated . I hope I don't need a top secret clearance for this.lol I try to learn every day,keep this old mind active,so I don't lose it.[garybear] Thanks.

okay gary :) first click the button that looks like a globe with a paperclip that says Insert Link. click it. click this

 

put in your link. youll see two "links" but one is in fact the link and the other is the name. the right side should be changed to what you want it to be. :)

I'll try to explain it a bit clearer than IFP.

 

When you copy and paste the address of the main page of this forum in the Message box of a post, you will see it as :

http://forums.iobit.com/index.php .

 

When you highlight with the mouse over a word such as HERE, and click the globe with an attache shape http://forums.iobit.com/images/editor/createlink.gif on top part of the Message box, a small window with a name "Hyperink" will be opened.

Again paste the Address of the main page of the forum in "URL" box in that window and click OK, then HERE will be HERE , and it is exactly the same link as above. Right cick on HERE, and the properties will show (http ://forums.iobit.com/index.php).

Great, now clicking the left button of the mouse hover over the link with the mouse and it will be highlighted. Type here on the highlighted link and it wil be here .

Similar thing for an image. Copy the address of an image from it's properties and paste it to the inside after opening picture shape http://forums.iobit.com/images/editor/insertimage.gif insert image window and cicking OK in Message window.
