It was doing it with the RC release and it also does it with the final release. The two programs in question are Camtasia studio 9 and killer control center. Everything works fine with ASC10.5

Hi Br41th,

Please download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelper.exe and send us the requested log file.

Double click to run this tool on the PC with problem and click "Save report".

After it finishes, you will get a pop up window to tell you where the report file IObit_Debug_Info.zip is saved. Click "OK" button to open that saved folder.

Please send the zipped file to us.

Thanks.

Hi Br41th,

Please try to rename the ASCService.exe with a name as you like first. (Right-click the shortcut of ASC and choose Open file location to find ASCService.exe.)

For example:ASCService.bak

Then reboot your computer to see how it works.

Thanks.

Error Code OxC000005 Access Violation is caused by windows system files damage. Run SFC and this couldn't be caused by ASC.

[h=3] How to Use SFC /Scannow[/h]

  1. Open Command Prompt as an administrator, very often referred to as an "elevated" Command Prompt.

Important: For the sfc /scannow command to work properly, it must be executed from an elevated Command Prompt window in Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 and Windows Vista. This is not required in previous versions of Windows.
  2. Once Command Prompt is open, type the following command and then press Enter.
sfc /scannow Tip: There's a space between sfc and /scannow. Executing the sfc command with its option next to it (without a space) will result in an error.

Important: If you're trying to use System File Checker from the Command Prompt available from Advanced Startup Options or System Recovery Options, see the Executing SFC /SCANNOW From Outside of Windows section below for some necessary changes in how you execute the command.

  • System File Checker will now verify the integrity of every protected operating system file on your computer. It might take quite a while to finish.

Once "verification" reaches 100%, you'll see something like this in the Command Prompt window, assuming issues were found and corrected:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios. ...or something like this if no issues were found:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. Tip: In some situations, most often in Windows XP and Windows 2000, you may also need access to your original Windows installation CD or DVD at some point during this process.

  • Restart your computer if sfc /scannow did actually repair any files.

Note: System File Checker may or may not prompt you to restart but even if it doesn't, you should restart anyway.
  • Repeat whatever process caused your original problem to see if sfc /scannow corrected the issue.
