Sorry to interrupt, but User parkd1 is asking from ?Obit to add a feature to Driver Booster of detecting the presence of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable, and update if it is necessary to update! (Driver Booster detects and updates, if necessary, all other versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable)

 

It is not a problem but a request for a feature from a fellow User. :-)

Sorry that I misunderstood the component you referred to.

For Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable, our technicians informed that Driver Booster won't support it. Because the newest windows version VC 2005 supported is XP SP2, but the oldest windows version is XP SP3. [ATTACH=CONFIG]n224239[/ATTACH]

 

And normally VC is backward compatible by default, so if you want VC 2005, you can try VC 2018. Or you may please directly download it from the links below:
