For the problem you reported, you may know that when a new graphics driver is being installed, its running parameter may get adjusted or even reset. So black, flickering or shrinking screen happens. Please do not worry or operate wrongly like forcing shutdown. Your screen will go back to normal after once or twice reboot of the computer.
