McAfee Anti-Theft not responding

Since upgrading to ASC Pro, Anti-theft has stopped responding. Problem corrected by system restore, but stops responding again once ASC has run again. I presume this is related to the deep scan feature?? What should I be ignoring?

I'm running XP SP3 with McAfee Security Centre.

I'd appreciate advice on how to overcome this annoying problem.

id say it was system optmization if a backup doesnt do it. you should configure your options in that part.

Please have a look to this post,

You have to search those concerned entries in details of deep registry, af ter Scan of Registry Fix, to put them to Ignore List.

 

Check also System Optimization details as IFP says.
