Greetings...

I have been using Advanced System Care software for a number of years along with Avast antivirus software on multiple home computers. Within the past two weeks, my Avast antivirus software has reported the following:on each of my home computers:

===============

Threat blocked - We've blocked BrowserCleaner.exe because it was infected with FileRepMalware

C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\AdvancedSystemCare\BrowserCleaner.exe

==========

Threat blocked - We've blocked ASCFeature.exe because it was infected with FileRepMalware

C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\AdvancedSystemCare\ASCFeature.exe

===============

I recently updated my Advanced System Care software to version 12.4.0.351 - it is possible that the above "threat blocked" issue started shortly after the installaton of this new software version.

What I would like to know is:

#1 - Are these two ASC files - BrowserCleaner.exe and ASCFeature - infected with FileRepMalware or is this a false report by my Avast antivirus software?

#2 - Has anyone else encountered this same issue?

Please advise. Thanks!

Attached is a screen capture of the "threat blocked" alert for BrowserCleaner.exe. The "threat blocked" alert for ASCFeature.exe appeared the same, except for file name.
