Is Iobit Malware Fighter an antivirus?

Since its launch, Iobit Malware Fighter has been updating and becoming more than just an antimalware. Does it fulfill the functions of an antivirus? Can I have Iobit Malware Fighter as the only antivirus system? Actually, I have only a ASC Ultimate. Is it convenient to have an antivirus in addition to Malware Fighter? Pro, of course.
