Iobit Surfing Protection & Ads removal greyed out in Edge

Recommended Posts

Initially the extension for Iobit Surfing Protection & Ads removal was working and green. I then imported some bookmarks from chrome to Edge which also did extensions and it imported a second iobit surfing protection extension however this second one came in greyed out. I unfortunately ended up removing the green one and was left with the greyed out one. I've tried removing it and reinstalling from the MS store however it's still comes in greyed out and is not recognized by ASCU which still displays Enable it in Browser Extensions even though it's enabled. I've tried removing and installing it multiple times and can't seem to get this extension working in Edge again. Open for suggestions.

We'll I managed to turn it green again by Resetting Edge and re-importing extensions from chrome. It still however shows the Enable it in Browser note in ASCU and I believe this is because it was designed to work with the legacy Edge browser and not the new Edge browser so hopefully it will be updated soon to work with it if that is indeed the case.

You're right. Currently it does not support New Edge. The next big version of Advanced SystemCare Ultimate 14 will support New Edge. Please stay tuned on it. Merry Christmas!|;-)
