Ok guys. Old dumb xxx is back to normal. All the tools that don't work are gone from asc3. I have my pro version back, and I'm a happy camper. I'm sorry to be such a pain in the rear. I hope all this is gone. I don't know why I wasn't being up graded, it said I was, but I don't think that was the case. Any way thanks to two special people named solbjerg and enoskype every thing is back the way it should be. It was a hassle , but Its over and I learned a lot. Is asc3 no1 yet? I know two people that are no1 in my book, there names are solbjerg and enoskype. Thanks guys, your are greatly appreciated and admired. Sincerely [garybear]

Hi, gary,

When you get to our age it doesn't pay to rely on memory alone. As I've mentioned before, I'm paranoid about backups and hate losing stuff I've collected, especially free tools.

Create yourself a HELP folder and put all your tit-bits, User names and pieces of data that you want to keep into it. Be sure to name each file. Put this folder on another partition and put a HELP shortcut on your desktop. Backup the folder to your Seagate USB HDD. Could save you lots of grief. If you are really security conscious you could encrypt the data or password-protect it, but then you'd have to remember the password!!

Good stuff

Good stuff Ted, thanks for your post. I really don't have a lot of good stuff , but sure hate losing it.I'm going to see if I'm smart enough to do what you suggested. I have 160gb storage, might as well put it to use lol. You are also one of the people that I appreciate on this forum and admire. Thank you my friend . Live well[garybear]

Glad to be of some help, Gary.

Although you may not realise it, your questions and the answers you get help a lot of us and some of the questions you ask are ones that a lot of users (including me) would like to ask, but hesitate to for various reasons.
