I disabled Windows Search because I thought that was the resource hog in the Performance Monitor, but "Search application" remains at the top of the list. I can shut it down but it pops back up in a few seconds. Can you help me figure out what it is?

I have checked my computer with Malwarebytes (Yes, I know it doesn't play nice but I just uncheck anything Advanced System Care) so I don't think it's an infection.

Something about your post bothered me.

You say You thought Search Application was a resource hog, but your ram usage is showing only 38% total, which is nothing.

Ideally, your system should be using as much ram as possible, which makes your system faster and drastically reduces

disk usage.
