I feel that more control of where programs are installed is needed. My computer has two SSDs, two HDD and two optical drives. I use the SSDs for two windows OSes (Windows 7 and 10) and the 2 HDD for my data and most programs as the SSDs are too small to have many programs installed on them (I also have linux installed on one of the HDDs). If I install a program from recommended list, there is no way to tell Software Updater to install it on one of the HDDs instead of the SSD with the OS on it. I recommend having an option for choosing a default drive to install programs onto, or to ask for each program, in a similar way that on browsers you can choose a default folder for downloads, or for the computer to ask for each download.

So...if you download the installer to the drive you want the program to run on, and run the installer, will it not install on that drive?
