I have used the free version for ages on by broadband and it speeds up downloads, old style dialup modems only have a small increase in speed.

I always keep a copy of all downloads very handy for reinstalls without having to download again, and also handy if product is discontinued like google deskbar was.

yes i use DAP too. its very good :) 1 hour download turned into 15-20 minutes for me.

sunny, I have not used DAP, but using GetRight for a very long time and very happy with it. Is there anybody who can compare the two?

Does it download in segments from different servers also?

My ISP provides a free accellerator named: Kinect Electrify. ( It was charged for initially). I tried it for a couple of months, but all it seemed to do was slow up my bootup time.... nothing else!

 

My connection is 256/128

For Download accelerator i used the Google search engine to get the download it..So you can use that to get it..I tested the speed in the site http://www.ip-details.com/internet-speed-test/ it shows the results in results i came to know that my connection is very slow so that i used the Download Accelerator..

I went to the site and ran the test and it gave a result of 8.3 mbps download speed. Then afterwards it linked me to SpeedTest.net where it measured 31.1 mbps and I've clocked as high as 34.6 with my Opera Browser's network settings dialed up to Full Tilt Boogie.

 

I used DAP when I had dial up and it seemed to help a little maybe it could get help me close the 3.4 mbps gap on the maximum 38 mbps bandwidth of my SB 5100 modem?
