Recycle bin ?

I've noticed since installing ASC that items I haven't deleted myself are showing up in my recycle bin.

Is ASC doing this?

There are a lot of items that end up in there after a day (dozens) -- I notice many of them are files that have been modified.

Hi mr

It sounds like you have chosen the settings with automatic care and automatic sweep but do not let the sweep empty the recycle bin.

(prudent choice with the recycle bin - I say)

Do you go with the recommended settings, so that Care is running when computer is idle?

If the above is the case ASC is behaving like you have asked it to :-)

Please read the thread Usage of IObit Products

I have automated care "disabled" and automatic sweep says "same settings as privacy sweep".

?

Should these items be appearing in the recycle bin?

I don't even see anything in the options concerning the recycle bin?

Hi mr

Alright - this is what it says:

Next Junk files clean

Window Recycle bin

You can put a checkmark here if you want to empty the recycle bin also

I wouldn't because I sometimes use the recycle bin as a temporary storage facility

Windows Temporary files

This" cleans" your Windows temporary files

Further settings below

Additional:

Delete Windows temporary files older than 1 week

Checked - Prudent setting

Enable secure file deletion DOD 5220.22-M (slower)

National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual

It provides baseline standards for the protection of classified information released or disclosed to industry in connection with classified contracts under the NISP.

NISP (Networked Information Services Project)

DOD (Department Of Defense)

Next Automated Care

Mode: Choose the way to run Automated Care

Perform computer care at scheduled time

Choose this setting if you have activated the schedule

Perform computer care when system is idle (recommended)

If you have chosen the program to Startup with Windows – this is the logical choice

Disable automatic Care

If you want full control and want to run the program manually you should choose this option

Action (for scheduled mode only)

Can only be chosen if you have selected "Perform computer care at scheduled time"

If you haven't the below options will be faded

Repair for:

Here you can choose what you want "cleaned" in the automated care

Diagnose System Scan

Here you can choose to run the function Always, Once a week or Never

Schedule:

Here you can configure your chosen schedule (click the button)

(this function seems to need some updating)

Automated Sweep:

Automatically sweep privacy when you are logging on or off computer

Your preference

Use the same settings as "Privacy Sweep"

This is the logical choice

Have you chosen the option to clean and care at startup or close down?

What about the option to delete Windows temporary files older than 1 week?

Is it a problem you think?

Cheers

Hello..

Anything we delete its directly goto the recycle bin its really a good thing because if we want it back then we restore it from recycle bin..

If we do Shift Del then its not goto recycle bin so if we want that data then we cant restore that data..
