Performance monitor start up position (I use multiple monitors)

Recommended Posts

I use multiple monitors and prefer performance monitor to be positioned on my secondary monitor  on system start up.  This used to work perfectly, but with the latest update (15.1.0.183) performance monitor always starts on my primary monitor.  Then I drag it over to the secondary monitor.  This is not a huge problem, but hopefully in future update performance monitor can "remember" the position on secondary monitor again.  Thank you & Happy New Year!

Hi Nedstand,

Sorry for the issue you encountered.

Please follow the steps below to send us the debug file so that we can further check the issue.

Download the tool from http://testdemo.iobit.com/InfoHelper.exe. Then double click to run this tool on the PC with the problem and click "Save report". After it finishes, you will get a pop-up window to tell you where the report file IObit_Debug_Info.zip is saved. Click the "OK" button to open that saved folder.

Please send the zipped file to us via the email feedback@iobit.com.

Thank you.

Hi,

Just checking back in.  I emailed the report Jan 22 and haven't heard back.

Thank you!

Very sorry that we missed the email. Now we've forwarded it to our technicians for further checking and will get back to you as soon as possible via that email. Sorry again.

I had the same problem, and I share your pain in never getting a response. if you do they are usually rude, I will try not to be rude.

1st don't put it (the performance monitor toolbar) on any other screen than the main system screen.

2nd if you change the size of it when you are using it, put it back to the smallest size before closing it. Otherwise part or all of it will be offscreen even if you use the keep onscreen function in the Nvidia driver control panels

3rd My advise is do not have it autoload in startup, then when you open it you can have a chance to move or fix it. Autoload is always going to repeat the last location before it was closed usually offscreen or partially offscreen

4th If you relocate the toolbar then be sure to close it once when it is where you want it. otherwise see 3rd above.

5th beware of having all the options open and it flying off the screen, just open one section read it then close it before opening the next section. it will fly off the top and then you cannot grab the title bar to move it.

6th It can be closed in taskmanager but goes right back offscreen

7th if you close it and run asc and fix all, it will remove the location settings sometimes so you may begin again at the starting point
