Hi, have just about pulled out my hair trying to save 3 sites, http://www.realpages.com, w/my default phone directory. EVERY time I try, ASC takes 'em out. Is there a way to ignore, bypass, don't clean, or store these three? Have read a couple of threads here, but after trying them all, prog still deletes them. What do ya do? :x

Hi Pat

Do you have the setting to clean out the cookies, and have you not excluded any?

In the ASC start window-click Tools- click Ignore List-move the cookies you want to keep from the left pane to the right.

Is this what you are searching for Pat?

Cheers

It isn't cookies, have that under control and fixed. This is under the Privacy Sweep. Haven't been able to locate the correct neck position to save url's. Suggestion?

NOTE: These are the ones I DO NOT want to "sweep out":

C:\Documents and Settings\my name\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\AJHEKD65\http://www.realpageslive.com\WebProject.swf\data-atl09htm-001-html--CartMgr.sol 81 bytes

C:\Documents and Settings\my name\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\AJHEKD65\http://www.realpageslive.com\WebProject.swf\http---www.realpageslive.com--Preferences.sol 297 bytes

C:\Documents and Settings\my name\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\#http://www.realpageslive.com\settings.sol 91 bytes

C:\Documents and Settings\my name\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\settings.sol 444 bytes

2nd EDIT: The ONLY work around I've found for this is to uncheck the Privacy Sweep button under "Maintain Windows". This means all the other junk stays as well. Maybe this can be put into the next version to add the selected ones to the Ignore list? Tim?

Hi Pat

How about the service DNS-client, is that activated -automatic?

If it isn't then activate it automatic and in System optimize place that "problem" in the ignore list.

What about the setting "delete older than 1 week?"

Cheers

Hello

Try this

1) Open ASC

2) Go to "Options" (top right)

3) Go to "Privacy Sweep" section on the left

4) Now on the right side, scroll down to "Other Application"

5) Inside "Application" you will see "Macromedia Flash (5/6/7/8)"

6) Just UNCHECK that =)

7) Done

I think that will help...........

detailer: guessing, but you'll notice the sites I've posted in prior posts are showing "Macromedia\Flash Player" in the links BEFORE the actual site. Think that bypassing flash player, its keeps it in the loop for the next time. Just my guess....

Hi Pat

Glad you got it fixed! :-)

I just assumed that you had checked the Sweep settings. Sorry!

About DNS - it's default Microsoft setting is started/automatic

If this service is stopped, the computer will not be able to resolve DNS names and locate Active Directory domain controllers.

If the service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.

And I just wondered if that might have something to do with your (previous :-) problem)

Cheers
