Registry Deep Scan keeps running

This problem has happened to me a dozen times already. All of a sudden, when running registry fix in deep scan mode, it gets to the deep scan and keeps looping through the same files or keys. This will go on indefinitely. Once it happens, there is no way to fix it except to uninstall and reinstall the program. I am using Pro with Vista 64 on a dell pc with i720 processor.

 

What is causing this, and how can I stop it?

sloop-Sounds like maybe something else running in the background that's causing a compatibility issue.Sorry I don't know exactly what it would be.Do you have other programs running when you are scanning?

Doesn't seem to matter if I have other apps running or not, but I'll look more carefully to see if there is something in the background I haven't been aware of. Thanks

Hi sloop!

Are you using McAfee security suite? It caused me to have a similar problem as yours.

I have to disable the systemguards feature in it to run a registry fix in deep scan mode.
