spepopud.exe

Recommended Posts

I get untitled pop-ups in the lower right hand corner of the desktop and the associated app is "spepopud.exe". A search for this executable shows that is is part of IObit ASC and Malware Fighter.

Why does this pop up with what appears to be random news and have no identifier as to what program it was launched from? How do I shut it off since it is of no use to me?

I am also getting this. I looked it up and it's showing it's connected to  Iobit's Driver Booster for me. Contemplating uninstalling iobit because of it. Their own pop ups for their own software was annoying enough. Now I'm getting pop ups from them for women looking for sugar daddies? Yeah.. time to uninstall.

It's nice to finally find out where these ads have been coming from. However I have purchased all of my Iobit software, and to be presented with adverts after they've had my money? Needless to say that they will not be  getting a penny further out of me for this disgusting and underhanded business practice.

yes im removing ALL  iobit software for good -

I had PORN ads and FAKE NEWS ads all from these popups and this exe file just keeps reinstalling itself.

iobit has become adware/malware

google shows the exe file is dangerous and can even allow HACKERS - concnering this is an "anti-malware" company but its using malware ads with fake dangerous websites/popups about "these top ten girls in your area are waiting for you" "top 50 ladies on tiktok" "deadly virus outbreak in your area, its worse then covid" --- no thanks -- RIP iobit - it was the best defrag software but my trust has gone forever now.

Dear Cicely, many thanks for your assistance and for forwarding it on.

At the moment you are the only point of contact for this matter, unless you want direct us to someone else.

  • Can you confirm that this part of the program, this folder is inert now?
  • Will it be automatically deleted from my computer?
  • or shall i just delete these two items?

IOBIT needs to find a way of clearing this up for its users as a theyve damaged a lot of trust doing this.

Best thing to do is to own up, create an article showing how to remove it, and people will forget about this in two weeks.

Thank you

For those of you reading this ... might find this interesting

So the culprit that installs popups is twlpold.exe as i had previously deleted that and spepopud.exe

Now twlpold.exe is back with a new program called SafetyTips.exe, which i suspect will burp up a pop up add at some point (so ive deleted it)

twlpold.exe is now blocked by Acronsis Randsomware Protection, lets see if i can get some peace for a while.

Also BigUpgrade (banner add prompting to ugrade to new version) and Update have arrived today.
