ASC Constantly trying to turn on Windows AV.

Recommended Posts

On my work at home PC, i run Symantec Endpoint AV and Firewall, The O/S Is Windows 11 22H2.

Whenever i run ASC it attempts to turn on the default Windows Defender AV, even though i have removed the check box in settings for the Anti Virus.

If i remove Symantec and run just the Windows default AV system and Fireall. ASC is happy, no hanging and no complaints.

I assume this means it know not what to do with a 3rd party AV and or Firewall.   So how can i tell it to stop trying to start the Windows AV ?

Regards

Greg

Hi

We are sorry for that.

When the issue appears, please follow the steps below and send us the debug file via the email feedback@iobit.com for further checking. Thanks ahead.

Download the tool from https://cdn.iobit.com/dl/tools/InfoHelper.exe. Then double-click to run this tool on the PC with the problem and click "Save report". After it finishes, you will get a pop-up window to tell you where the report file IObit_Debug_Info.zip is saved. Click the "OK" button to open that saved folder. Please send the zipped file IObit_Debug_Info.zip to us.

Happy New Year!
