Automate Sweep Checkboxes are boke

I think little Fluffy is dead, Jimmy.

I believe the two checkboxes at the top of ASC | Options | Maintain Windows | Automated Sweep are not working properly.

If "Automatically Sweep Privacy when logging on and off computer" is checked, then one CAN get to the scrollable, "Sweep For" window with the tree to change items selected. This is true whether the "Use the same settings as 'Privacy Sweep'" checkbox is checked or not.

It seems to me that, if "Use the same settings as 'Privacy Sweep'" is checked, then the user should be kept from getting to the "Sweep For" tree and changing the checkbox toggles on those items in the tree.

I can check the "Use the same settings as 'Privacy Sweep'" checkbox, then change the boxes checked in the "Sweep For" tree, then click the Apply and OK buttons, and the changes I made to the tree stick, whether they are the same as in Privacy Sweep or not. However, when I open the Automated Sweep options again, the "Use the same settings as 'Privacy Sweep'" is unchecked -- not the way I left it.

I guess what I'm saying is that it seems to me that "Automatically Sweep Privacy when logging on and off computer" would need to be checked, AND "Use the same settings as 'Privacy Sweep'" would need to be unchecked before one should be able to change the items selected in the tree's "Sweep For" area, or even to be able to get to it.

I thought you folks would want to know.

Interesting Indeed

Well-I have on good faith that little Fluffy is alive and well in the company of Elvis at an undisclosed location. So that would leave Jimmy to blame for the problem.Tim-I looked into that and you have a valid point. However, not being a subscriber to auto functions(that one in particular)might I recommend the old fashioned,or "manual" approach? Works for me every time.Be well my humorous friend.

Figures. Jimmy always did look a little shifty to me.

I don't use the Automate Sweep either, but I have to complain and point out everything that could possibly be wrong every chance I get.

My wife taught me how.
