I'm not sure if this idea has been broached before or not.

 

What about running Game Booster to shut down everything unnecessary before running Smart Defrag?

 

Wouldn't that, perhaps, allow files to be moved that would normally be in the immovable list?

 

Just a thought.

Well, I went ahead and tried it. I let Game Booster shut down all processes it suggests and any running software (like antivirus, etc.), then ran Smart Defrag and even another piece of defragmenting software. It worked fine. No hiccups.
