Problem logging in to the forum

I didn't find anything about this matter so:
I recently registered and activated as a forum member. I created a very strong password. And yes, I am very sure it was
correctly entered.

But when I tried today, The password wasn't valid. I had to create a new. But I couldn't make it as strong as the previous.
Is there an upper limit of characters, or is it a flaw?
