This may be due to the kind of HDD and USB hub that you are using. I have both a WD 160 GB and a WD 250 GB HDD that hook up to the computer through an HP Quick Dock which has 6 USB ports that are both recognized and defraged by Smart Defrag without a problem. What is your set up?
