Automatic defragment in screensaver mode: how does it work

What exactly that option does? Does it run manual defrag with manual defrag settings (drives methods)? Will it prevent Vista to go to sleep mode?

check that windows auto defrag is off (tweak ui) or you may have a conflict

I am not saying that I have any problems. I am just asking what exactly does it do? Does it run something similar to manual defrag, or does it mean that it continue to do "auto" defrag, even when computer is in screenserver mode?
