Mysterious Active-X running in VISTA

Hi everybody

 

An active x with code {8FFBE65D-2C9C...........3C} is running on my computer

 

It is in directory c:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files and when i checked its properties evrything is unknowned but the code base:

http//fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplay/...../ultrashim.cab

this is for flash player but seems to belong to Stone Age since Micromedia was sold to Adobe and closed since 2005 i think.

 

Does anybody know about and what will happend if disable or delete this since sometime ago i removed some strange toolbar in IE8 with no-name and so on and the flash player could not change flash video

I'd just disable it first and check all functionality of your browser over a couple days time.If that goes well,then you could delete it to the recycle bin,and permanent delete after further testing.
