Just a general question:

Why are some entries grey?

They are Non-Windows sevices.

If you click "Hide Windows Service" button at the top, all Windows services will be hidden, and if you click again, they will be back.

But... clicking "Hide Windows Service" leaves the services Windows CardSpace, Net.Tcp PortSharing Service and Block Level Backup Engine Service still showing as 'white' entries.

 

Also, other Windows services are shown as grey.

 

So I thought that isnt it, and I'd better ask here first?

You are right danburitto.

 

Even on Windows7 those three are shown as white when you hide the Windows services. Not on XP for Windows CardSpace,and Net.Tcp PortSharing Service.

Block Level Backup Engine Service does not exists in XP.
