Will SDF work in Auto Mode with BOINC

In Auto Defrag mode, there is an option for setting the CPU usage percentage to pause this process. I have been running a combined network program (BOINC) 24/7 for a couple of years with very good results. I have not seen a CPU usage of less than 97% since. My question is this, after installing SmartDefrag, will it ever run in any other than Manual Mode?
